Larry Gatlin and the Gatlin Brothers are proud to announce an extended association with The Rockbox Theater, a consistent top Texas entertainment venue that has operated for 10 years in Fredericksburg, Texas.

Effective Aug 15, 2017, the Gatlin Brothers and their business partners Brian and David Turrentine are bringing the Brothers and various country music artists and friends to the Rockbox Theater.

The Rockbox Theater opened its doors on June 8, 2007 under the ownership of Ray and Stacy Rodgers, who have operated it since that time. Ray Rodgers estimates they have presented more than 1600 shows that have drawn audiences of around 350,000.

“After 10 years of bringing good, clean, family entertainment to people of the Texas Hill Country and beyond, we felt it was time to take it to the next level,” said Rodgers. “These were the right people to do it.”

According to Steve Gatlin, the Rockbox Theatre, located just a half block off of Fredericksburg’s famous Main Street, offers the Gatlin Brothers a chance to return to their Texas roots.

“We are all Texas boys and have always wanted a Texas presence,” Steve Gatlin said. “We were all impressed with the quality of what is here in Fredericksburg, and we believe adding some of our fellow artists and friends while touring in Central Texas makes it an even more exciting and a wonderful place to visit.”

Larry Gatlin & the Gatlin Brothers are a GRAMMY®-award winning country music trio known for their signature harmonies on 33 Top 40 singles and #1 hits, including country classics such as All The Gold In California, Broken Lady, and Houston (Means I’m One Day Closer To You).

While developing long term plans, in the interim the Gatlin Brothers will maintain the current Rockbox Theater entertainment model. The venue features a mix of tribute shows, classic country and rock acts, and seasonal shows. Lynda Haynes, long-time House Director, will continue to run the day-to-day operations.

“You don’t mess with something that is a success,” Rudy Gatlin said. “I think we can continue with what makes the Rockbox a success, then sprinkle in other country acts that are friends of ours when that opportunity presents itself.”

Larry Gatlin and the Gatlin Brothers will present two shows at the theater before the end of the year:

Larry Gatlin & the Gatlin Brothers “Unplugged”
Friday, October 6 @7pm
Saturday, October 7 @ 4pm
